Aleena Zahir, real name Brenda Katushemerwe, is an artist, social entrepreneur, humanitarian, and advocate for Africa's true independence. Born and Raised in Uganda's rural setting, she excelled in Science. She graduated With a bachelor's in Environmental Science from Makerere University in 2010. She ventured into singing which she leveraged to make Universal messages that would later connect her to different relevant people in America and U.K! While she interned at Uganda Wildlife Authority in Kampala in 2011, she says she leveraged the then available internet, which was a privilege as Internet services were limited elsewhere. She used the internet to connect with Mentors, producers, developers, business people, and experts. With what many of her peers called luck, she called it Technology as her outside world network grew. Indeed, we could leverage Technology to heal the whole world by connecting, embracing diversity, employing empathy, and tolerating what scares us most. A former presidential aspirant for Uganda, her leadership traits are inspired by her desire to make social and economic changes in the marginalized communities of Africa.
Tara Purcell takes every day on to make a more significant difference for humanity. Representing voices worldwide, she is a human rights educator, an active member, and leader of Changemakers for the United Nations Association, where we are taking action locally for a global change. Thru her time with the United Nations Association, becoming part of the African Diaspora and friends of the African Union has led her to pursue her education in Media Psychology and Political Science and evolve actively in her skills in Web 3, Blockchain, NFTS, Tele-Medicine, and mental health in virtual spaces.
There is a significant need for Africa and as Tara Became more involved with Brenda and learned about the challenges experienced and survived by many. Such as Lack of access to simple necessities such as shoes, food, clean water, Lack of knowledge and opportunities, and the way things work due to inequalities Tara and Brenda discovered together they could t make a difference for the greater good of humanity, then it should be acted upon and brought forth. Together Brenda and Tara are setting forth to bring Technology as a tool and a resource for more information, and no matter where we are in the world, we should all have access to water, food, shoes, education!
